Rytmihäiriö - Surmavirsi

Back

Rytmihäiriö is a finnish Surmacore band (They mix Death/Thrash/Crossover/Grindcore and Hardcore Punk in their music and they call it Surmacore). The band was formed in 1988. Their first EP "Surmatyö" was released in 1990 and the line-up was Otto Luotonen-Drums,Ande-Bass,Pate-Vocals,Tuukka-Guitars. Then Spinefarm Records signed Rytmihäiriö as their first band in 1990 and released "Ihmisiä Kuolee" EP in 1990. They released a demo compilation "Möfaa Puujumalille" which had 40 tracks and it included several rehearsals,2 demos and 1 live performance. Their first album "Surman Siipien Havinaa" was released in 1991. In 1992 they released a split "The End of Evolution... ...is Round the Corner" with Amen. They split up in 1992 and reformed in 1998. They released a demo in 2000 and the line-up was Pate (vocals),Janne (guitars),Ande (bass),Otto (drums). In 2002 they released "Surmaa Kännissä" EP with the new singer Unto "Une" Helo. In 2003 they released "Surman Vuodet - The Homicide Years",a compilation which contains the first two EPs,the album first album and some unreleased tracks. They released a split with Chaosbreed in 2004. Their second album "Saatana On Herra" was released in 2005. Third album "Seitsemän Surman Siunausliitto" was released in 2006. Sakara Records released a series of splits which each contained one live song from the bands which performed on the tour and they were : Stam1na,Mokoma and Rytmihäiriö. Their new album "Sarvet,Sorkat,Salatieteet" was released in February this year. Otto and Ande are the only original members in the band left. The lyrical themes are quite original. They are mostly about getting wasted and killing people when you're drunk and alcohol (Espacially Gambina which is a cheap red wine). They are far from the raw Grindcore/Hardcore sound they presented in their early years. The new albums contain alot more melody. But every album kicks ass in my opinion. Une is an actor and has been in finnish movies such as "Pitkä Kuuma Kesä" and "Helmiä ja Sikoja" & "Kahdeksan päivää ensi-iltaan". This is from "Surman Siipien Havinaa".
