Bushville set up near RNC site

Back

More at http://www.theuptake.org. Recalling "Hoovervilles" from the great depression, a tent city dubbed "Bushville" has sprung up in a park not too far away from the site of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul. People at Bushville are bracing for a police raid at 11pm when the park closes. A crew of video journalists who document police abuses are at the park recording what happens after 11pm. The camp has been erected by the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign (PPEHRC) and is there to accommodate poor and homeless people arriving in the Twin Cities to protest and be a visible representation of poverty in the US during the RNC.
