My mouth wouldn't close, and I stood in my door like that, mouth open and everything. "Nooooo I'mm nott drunkkk." Nick slurred at me. Oh my gosh he's drunk. "Nick, you are too drunk!" "Wellll mayyybe justtt a litttttle bit" he said holding up his fingers showing a little amount. "Nick, why are you drunk?" "I wennntt to the barrr." "Why?" "Becauuseee I wannnted tooo." "Did... I do this to you?" "Noooo." He said walking towards me. I stepped back a little and put my hand up. "Jooeee was righttt youuu arrre prettty." Nick told me while continuing to come closer. "Nick, I can't believe you! You said you wouldn't get drunk anymore. I thought... I thought you loved me..." "I dooo love you Ashleyyy" "No. You don't. If you did, you wouldn't have gotten drunk. And to think, I was going to give you another chance." I said to Nick while a single tear slid down my cheek. I was mad... upset... and disappointed. "Goodbye Nick." I said closing the door. Once it was closed I slid down it and brought my legs up to my face and started crying. He had hurt me again... and this time, I wasn't going back. Ever. *Joe's P.O.V* I watched Nick totally get rejected by Ashley. Success. The plan totally worked. I was about to go save Nick when I felt a hand grab my shoulder. I jumped and saw Kevin behind me. "What do you want?" "Why are you out here? And where's Nick?" "He's over at Ashley's. I need to go get him." I turned around and saw Nick walking towards the house. Shit. I couldn't let Kevin see him so I turned towards Kevin. "Just go inside, we'll be there soon." "What's wrong with Nick?" "Uh... nothing. Nothing is wrong." I looked over my shoulder and saw Nick stumbling up the driveway. I turned towards Kevin who had a shocked look on his face. "Is he drunk?" "Um... no..." I said. I can't lie to Kevin, I don't know what it is about him. "He's drunk. Why is he drunk? Did you take him to the bar?" "Listen Kevin, don't freak-" "Don't freak out! Joe you got your little brother drunk! You are the worst brother of all time." When he said that, it hurt. Deep. And I didn't know why. Nick stumbled up to us and Kevin helped him into the house. I stood in the garage and looked at Ashley's house. I loved her. I really did. But Nick did too. He lost his chance, and now it was my turn... wasn't it? *Ashley's P.O.V* Once I finally pulled myself together I walked up to my room. I collapsed on my bed and curled up under the blankets. I couldn't believe Nick did what he did. It sucked. I was going to give him another chance. But he blew it. He threw it all away. But most importantly. He had lost me forever. I was not going back now, and nothing was going to change that. "Congratulations. Now you are free you have bought your degree. Yeah you graduated, this is your last separation from me. No more trying again, no more coming back, no more forgiving you, no more thinking that somehow the sum will be different.
